Nigel McKay
Nigel McKay joined Bovis Lend Lease in June 2005. His current remit as Head of Supply Chain and Quality Management is to align the existing Procurement and Quality Functions and integrate with the Supply Chain Safety Group so that there is a seamless approach to the Procurement of Sub Contractors and Suppliers which will lead to improved performance of our Supply Chain and in the way Bovis Lend Lease delivers its projects.
Since joining BLL, he has embedded Procurement back into the Operations function within the group. Designed a new web based 360o Performance Reporting Tool, created a Procurement Steering Board, become the founder and Chair of “BuildingConfidence”to commence a formal Supply Chain Accreditation Scheme which he is marketing to the whole industry.
He currently Chair of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Construction Procurement Group and is the first Chair of “BuildingConfidence”.
He has a passion for delivering Sustainable Procurement and is Chair of BLL UK Sustainable Materials group, sits on the companies UK Sustainability & Commercial / Financial Steering Groups and the BLL Global Sustainability Group and the Lend Lease Global Supply Chain Leaders Group.
